As an intermediate skier, this was pretty much the perfect resort to improve my skiing. The runs are wide and not too busy and a huge variety of options depending on whether you are looking for tree runs, powder or groomers.
It maybe isnt the best resort for complete beginners, even the easiest greens have parts that are quite steep (as compared to greens in Europe) but the quality of skiing is great. Only negatives compared to Europe is that the runs arent as long, meaning more time spent in chairlift queues, and European style apres is pretty much non existent.

Big White is a good beginners, family friendly mountain. Prices could be better (more discount options) for locals. Would be nice if they would team up with other Mountains to create a pass that allowed you to explore more around BC and bring in riders from far and wide. Overall, Big White is an okay Mountain in a convenient location providing a short drive to Kelowna and all of the outdoor activities the Okanagan supports.

First year on Indy Pass. Took the trIp across the country and North to Canada. What a difference from East Coast US skiing!!!! My wife and I loved every second of it. Our two teen boys absolutely LOVED the terrain park and glades. Will be back for sure

Love this mountain. It usually has consistent snow. There is something for everyone at this mountain. There are multiple restaurants and sometimes 1 or 2 food trucks. There are many places to stay, although they can be quite expensive if you are on a budget. There is a hostel but you must phone to reserve. There are usually events going on after hours. There is a small liquor store and bodega for groceries. There are events that happen at the mountain all year long and an amazing end of season concert. You can also pay for a season's pass in installments.

Good mountain. But busy. Think downtown Kelowna in the summer, but on the mountain. Weekdays are best.

Went skiing here for the first time and was very impressed with the lessons. My instructor was super nice and gave me personalized tips and was patient. The discovery program is a great option for those learning and getting into the sport. I highly recommend big white for families as they have lots fun things for kids at night and different events daily.

Been a season pass holder for 4 years. Great hill to learn how to ski with the wide range of terrain and beginner to intermediate runs. Wont have the expert or difficult terrain like a revelstoke or kicking horse but great to go for a day with friends and grab a bite to eat in the village. Plenty of options for tree skiing which is fantastic.

I had an awesome experience with my daughter. The only thing that was kinda bad was the food. It was very bland. But they were quick to find something to our liking and made sure that we had the best overall experience possible. Will definitely gô there again.

a top-tier ski destination known for its charming, colorful village and diverse terrain. The resort offers over 3,000 acres of skiable terrain, catering to all skill levelsfrom gentle beginner slopes to steep, powder-filled double black diamonds. Its particularly famous for its champagne powder snow and excellent grooming.
Beyond skiing and snowboarding, SilverStar has great cross-country trails, tubing, and snowshoeing. The village has a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with a good selection of restaurants and accommodations. However, nightlife is relatively quiet compared to larger resorts.
Overall, SilverStar is a fantastic choice for those looking for a well-rounded ski experience in a picturesque setting.

Excellent terrain for all levels. Ski all day and plenty of really nice restaurant to enjoy dinner or an after ski drink. Very seldom do you wait in line for more than a couple of minutes and looked after by the friendliest lifties. Big White has it all.

Big white is an amazing resort with a bunch of fun runs to do with family and friends. I went with a wide age and skill range of people, and there was a run for everyone. From my sisters who were under 5 skiing greens, to the teens exploring the mountain, and the adults going to the apres ski at noon, everyone had a great time. It is an expensive resort, but definitely worth every penny! The park is amazing and the runs are gorgeous. There are so many options for glades and trees and even off piste trails. The snowboarding was awesome!

1 hr from an Airport. Lots on on hill accommodation. This place stands out as family friendly. The terrain is varied. More intermediate than anything. The resort is quite high. So snow quality can be and often is excellent!
