First ever trip to Andorra after finally graduating from university I started to have more disposable income. The slopes are fantastic here in Andorra and it’s was quite quiet during my time there. Waiting for ski lifts was basically non existent and the food and drink were superb. Given that Andorra is extremely cheap compared to France for drinking. My friends and my wife kept taking advantage of it. I will be returning again in March before the season ends and I have to resort to off season training at the gym until th 2026/27 season starts again.

Fabulous snow & uncrowded slopes. Visibility often wasn’t great but several tree runs where it was much better. Good value food & drinks.

El tarter and the wider Grandvalaria offer a great option for beginners to advanced and is particularly suited to families. Lift efficiency, excellent ski school, huge area and good range of runs offer something for everyone. The open freeride options and snow conditions (2026) meant even the off piste was brilliant. Affordable, fun and friendly - thoroughly recommended.

El Tarter at Grandvalira is a cracking place to ski or snowboard with lots of wide, forgiving runs, great snow most days, and lifts that actually get you where you want to go without endless faff.ling. You can get to either ends of the Grandvalira area really easy on the mountain from El Tartar, which also gives you access to 3 freestyle parks! Perfect if you’re not a total pro but still want plenty of fun.

We really enjoyed El Tartar everything felt close and there were several (great) options for eating out. The skiing of Granvalaria is some of the best value for money we’ve ever seen.

I travelled with Neilson. The transfer was long, otherwise nothing could be faulted. Quality of lifts, runs, instruction, equipment hire and accomodation were absolutely first class. A great resort for intermediate skiers and families with a good snow record and excellent snow making facilities. I intend to go back next year and have previously always tried new places every year. This is just so good....

Overall a great place to ski for all levels and family friendly atmosphere. Soldeu is probably my favourite spot to stay due to the cosy atmosphere and spa overlooking the slopes

3rd trip to Andorra and the Grandvalira area. Previously the snow conditions were incredible with over a meter in fresh powder in January or enjoyable snow in March so expectations were high. On this occasion most of the slopes were bulletproof ice making it more challenging to enjoy as much.

We stayed in El Tartar in a nice hotel with ski in/ski out, half board and a spa. In that order was the good things about the hotel. On a previous trip stayed in a hotel in Soldeu which was a million times better and much cheaper, albeit that was 8 years ago.

As for pricing, it was always said Andorra is cheaper than the alps but not by much. The transfer time is the same as going to the French alps from Switzerland.

The Grandvalira area will hold a special place in my heart but I feel its time to explore other resorts/countries now.

We loved every second of our ski vacation here! The restaurants were amazing. Reasonable prices! Loved that we could ski all the way to France!
We love the people, we loved shopping at the grocery store. So different from home! Great ability on the hill to stop for lunch or a coffee. Hills were groomed

Stayed in El Tarter for a week during half-term. Very good range of skiing (blues, reds and a number of challenging blacks) and beautiful sunshine everyday. Small village so everything is close to the lift.

There were lift queues in the main areas but less so further out. Good snow covering by cannons. A few pistes were closed due to a lack of snow.

There were several good snow parks which the kids loved.

The blue slopes into Soldeu got quite crowded.

Great location great locals huge runs and great atmosphere.

Decent pricing easy access, there is a lack of quick transport however most hotels are very helpful and can book transport.

Good place to go if you value just the runs and nothing else. Finding a nice apres-ski if you're not in a group (and therefore don't care where to party) is a bit of a hustle. Very family-friendly, quiet and cute.
