First family ski trip. Booked with crystal and stayed at deux domaines. Lessons by esf. Excellent 1ss time resort for families. Good food, excellent instruction and lots of nice slopes

Having skied in La Plagne since the late 1970’s it continues to attract with lift investment and massive ski to door opportunities
It requires an upgrade to accommodation as not much has changed in 50 years
The Apres ski is quiet but good for families and 60plus !!!
You can ski a week and not repeat a run
All in all the great unheard of massive French Paradiski !

We stayed in a great chalet in Montalbert (far right of Paradiski).
Weather was awesome which always helps. Kms and kms of pistes to suit all abilities - particularly large number of blues. Some great eating options on the mountain. Word of warning that Chambery airport, and the road to/from through the Valley were a nightmare - but no complaints about La Plagne itself!

We visited La Plagne (Plagne Soleil) as a family and with my friend, as my brother is doing a ski season there. We had never been there before, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the vast amount of skiing there is. So many wide, cruisey blue runs, tree runs which I loved, and in general it was really easy to get around. Theres glacier runs as well as villages lower down, so it’s great to get high on warm days, or stay low in bad visibility. Also really easy to ski over to Les Arcs, just make sure you head back in time! Overall 5/5 stars, can’t wait to head back!

We had a great time in La Plagne as a family of 4 for Christmas 2025.
It was our first time to the resort and we really enjoyed it. Staff in restaurants and bars were very friendly. Great ski school we used.
Beautiful apartments and the skiing was fab.
We will definitely visit again, also loved the zip line, so cool!

Great resort, we stayed in Montalbert, a quiet part on the edge, but easily accessible into the main area. We went in January, there was plenty of fresh snow and the slopes were excellent. The lifts were also surprisingly free flowing, with little or no waiting.

Really enjoyed our time here. Great options for runs, and ability to ski to Les Arcs and enjoy their slopes is a bonus. Very doable to get across- we were the opposite side of La Plagne but skied to Les Arcs twice and spent most of the day here, before heading home. Some great apres places on the slopes too! Would definitely return here

Resort was quiet but we had a catered chalet. Perfect location - 30m from lift, bar, ski hire. Chef was of the charts and every meal (apart from the one out) was exceptional. Party of 6 adults 4 children 8-13years. Nightlife and mountain life was next door in Les Arcs (Folie Douce) but last gondola back was 5 pm.

Great resort with plenty of Blues for beginners however in my opinion some of them should be Reds. Ski pass also gives access to Les Arcs which is easily accessible. Would thoroughly recommend!

Been to the area a few times. Love the atmosphere. Le Plagne is create for families with so many runs to choose from we never felt pressured into repeating a route. At 2000m it’s pretty snow sure and it’s always had good cover whenever we’ve been there. Would thoroughly recommend.

Really lovely place for family or couples, loads of varied runs, couldn't get around it all in a week, no bad ques on lifts, amazing conditions and scenery

Latest trip to La Plagne was one of many previous, though haven't been there for a while. Lift efficiency is continually improved - with fairly new cable car and new chair lifts. We were lucky with lots of fresh snow, so much they were on avalanche alert (and a Brit died the Sunday we arrived sadly! :-( ), but it meant there was good snow on the groomed pistes and plenty of off-piste (if not all safe).
Our mixed ability were all catered for in terms of types of runs, and all across the mountain (beginners not just stuck "in the village" on blues). Plagne 1800 is chalet central, some of the other newer villages are mostly self-catered but with scattered hotels or club-hotels scattered around so lots of accommodation choice too. La Bergerie was as fun as ever, with searches on entry as they've had drug problems lately apparently; but night life overall is a bit quiet and there is plenty to keep kids entertained too.
All in all, one of my favourite resorts and the conditions didn't disappoint.

Ski school was excellent- don’t be afraid to put an experienced teenager into ski school and they think will be bored as she spent most of week off piste in a small experienced group ( avalanche equipment provided) which you would pay a lot for in personal guiding ( The rest of family were well jealous).
Am returning in small single sex group this Feb.

Great selection of runs queues not to long at chairlifts and gondolas. Shame about pesky skiers always putting their skis on your board in the queue.

Huge skiing area, easy links to Les Arcs, with lots of different runs of different levels if you’re travelling with people who have different levels of experience.
Main bottleneck is Plagne Bellecote towards the end of the day- careful of the moguls on all pistes from about 2pm!
Loved that it feels like most people are considerate riders in the area

La Plagne is a fantastic all round resort. It has a great selection of bars and restaurants, some more lively than others but always a great atmosphere to be found for apres ski. The slopes are vast and offer a really varied day of skiing for the intermediate skier on fast red runs from the top of the glacier to sprawling open wide blue runs and more inimate pistes through the forest. You will never run out of slopes to ski, just make sure you make it back to the resort in time before the lifts close! The lifts themselves are extremely well kept and maintained with a number fo cable cars going to the higher peaks and fast reliable chair lists and drag lifts dotted everywhere. Snow conditions were great all over the resort including the snow parks and leraner areas. There is plenty of other activities to do as well such as bowling, swimming and relaxing. It was just a fantastic place, couldn't fault anything.

La Plagne is a fantastic resort for everyone. It's absolutely huge and consists of many separate resorts all lift connected. My favourite is Belle Plagne right at the top.
We'd usually pop down to Plagne Centre after supper for a drink or two as it's the most lively area although each village does of course have several bars as well.
I'd certainly reccommend La Plagne for anyone whatever their ability.

I have visited the La Plagne ski area and stay in Belle Plagne for the last few years. I stay in a self catered apartment that has direct access to the piste. There is a good variety of ski runs - ideal for beginner and intermediate skiers and the Les Arcs area is also accessible.
Belle Plagne is a family resort - there are some restaurants and bars. There is a small supermarket, bakery and delicatessen making self catering possible. Plagne Bellecote also has shops, bars and restaurants and is linked via a gondola so can be accessed during the evening.
In my opinion, Belle Plagne and the wider La Plagne ski area offers good value, beautiful scenery and great skiing - and is certainly worth visiting.

La Plagne isn’t really one resort. It’s made up of multiple villages at different heights - some linked, some not. Each has their own unique character so do your research about where to stay. We stayed in Plagne 1800 - have to say it’s my favourite so far and will stay there again next time. All your facilities are 1 min away. 2 lift options to start the day, supermarket, pool, info centre and restaurants. In my opinion it also had the best bar in all of La Plagne. - Bar La Mine. Great staff, all the sports, live music every night. Also notable nod to Bar Bobsleigh which is also very good. Huge ski area in its own right but linked to Les Arcs via the Vanoise express cable car means you will never be short of runs. My favourite runs are down to Montalbert from Aime 2000- which are tree lined making it a great place to head for in white out snowy conditions. Montalbert also has a great restaurant - Les 2 Zebras - the pizza is outstanding. Apres ski either in Le Bonnet in Plagne Bellecôte or La Bergerie above Plagne villages are great fun. We also went to the Olympic bobsleigh down the valley a couple of stops on the free bus. What an adrenaline rush - but book ahead. Off piste is usually excellent but due to lack of snow in the previous few weeks before we went it was too hard to venture into although we did get a dump of snow on our final day meaning we could get a taste of powder. Les Arcs had the best of the snow parks but as it’s early season I’m sure there will be more features added in LP when more snow arrives. Fabulous boarder cross course in LP too. Don’t forget to pose or smile on the chairlifts as you get your photo taken and you can download it free on the app with a simple tap on the machine with your lift pass at the top of the chairlift departure. Resort is also high which means it’s pretty snow sure - if there isn’t snow here then its unlikely there is any anywhere nearby. Highly recommend

La Plagne is always a favourite resort for us. Such an enormous range of slopes with the bonus of being able to ski Les Arcs too.
