Good ski resort border with the Italian resort of La Thile, that creates a bigger domain with plenty of piste and off piste rides. Very enjoyable, the town is a bit sleepy.

La Rossiere is a very underrated resort. Very good value for money and linked with La Thuile (Italy) which forms the Espace San Bernardo ski area. (156km) In my opinion great skiing for all levels of skiers and borders. Good for families as well.

Medium sized resort. Great views up and down the valley. Windy and south facing but good snowmaking to keep the key runs open. "Red" mountain, all blues have steep sections so not great for timid skiers. Almost all runs above the treeline on a slab of a mountain resulting in limited options in bad weather (i.e. times of poor visibility or a bitter wind that is in your teeth on any chair) but with fresh snow and/or better visibility theres a lot to go for. Italy is on the same lift pass for some different terrain and a cheaper lunch but theres a proper Red over the edge to navigate followed by 2 seriously long drag lifts along a flatish valley. If you can ski its worth a visit otherwise probably more effort and anxiety than desirable. Reasonable prices for the Tarantaise and friendly people working in the resort. Decent food and drink available at all venues. Lift system gets people up the mountain without drama. But they then all need to ski back home down the steep, wide blue runs. So, a full mix of people; the fast, slow, inconsiderate and the careful all funnelling down towards the bottom. Humm If youve not been to La Ros before then its certainly worth a visit.

La Rosiere is a lovely resort offering spectacular views of the Tarentaise. The skiing is small but the runs are excellent with something for every ability, with the groomed piste being the highlight. Off piste is good here and easily accessible from the lifts (nothing too crazy). There are rarely queues for lifts which is refreshing compared to other resorts nearby. Skiing into Italy (La Thuile) is also fun and eating lunch there is a must, however I thought the skiing around La Rosiere was far superior. Restaurants and bars on the slopes are a bit limited but the ones that are there are good - however if you are there for a week you will be revisiting places. The town itself is small and pretty and is very family friendly, I was fortunate enough to stay free with Club Med which was excellent in La Rosiere but you don't get to experience the town to the full extent. Overall I think La Rosiere is fantastic if you are keen skiier but are happy to take a more laid back approach and aren't fussed about the apres.

Lovely, pretty resort high in the Alps with skiing over to Italy, and a good range of runs easily accessible from La Rosiere. The adjacent Les Eucharts is the more modern part, with nice chalet accommodation, less in the way of apres ski. Good resort with excellent snow record and popular with families and those wanting a relaxed ski experience.

Really good resort for families and beginners. Nice wide blues and reds with the steep parts of reds often meaning the reds are a similar level to the blues. A very windy resort resulting in a mixture of ice and powder piles in the afternoon. Compared to other resorts found the groomed slopes to be a bit icy first thing. We did not go during a school holiday but the slopes were not busy which was great. We had a beginner with us and it meant they could practice without worrying about the number of people hurtling past them. Limited tree runs but if you head to la thuile lots over there. The button lift to la thuile is very long and could do with an update as this would help on those very windy days. There was only one day with snow that enabled us to try out off pieste, and some options if you head higher up, the non pieste blacks were some of my favourite runs of the holidays.None of the lifts have covers, but all work well and have fairly good coverage. Fairly small resort with a few food and drinks options, small apres on the slopes I would not come here expecting a big night out, but the atmosphere is very nice. Loved the walk between la rossiere and les euchets which also had a small tobogon slope for kids.

La Rosiere is perfect for families and friends alike. Definitley a more chill pace but so great and you can ski to Italy for the day as adventure. Theres such wide blue runs perfect for novices.

Very nice resort, great slopes for all ages and abilities. It is great how it connects with La Thuile, Italy so you can experience france and italy. Ski school is very good and friendly plus the food and accommodation is amazing! Only issue is that it isnt a very big resort so you can run out of ski runs easily.

The overall feeling of the resort is lovely. Full of different restaurants so you'd never have to go to the same spot twice! The groomed runs were smooth as butter and I loved the small kickers off to the sides of some of them. Off-Piste was pretty good on a snowday and fun on some of the less steep off piste bits in-between runs. There is a club/bar type place but I was told it only ever gets busy on Wednesdays, which it was. Overall a decent place for skiing/snowboarding but a tad expensive too, worth it though.

Good place to go for a first time skiier with lots of nice blue runs from a main peak (Roc noir).Realistically split into 2 base areas connected by a bus. I felt when I was there that they could have been better connected via the slopes but I think that's more likely due to my inexperience.Excellent coaching to take me from complete beginner to comfortable doing wedge turns.Nice food options and nice atmosphere, compared to my next experiecne at Meribel, definitely had a nice small resort vibe. 2 different sides could be better connected but overall a nice experience. Would go back but maybe not for a whole week now I have more experience.

Great ski resort with connection to Italy - family friendly and usually quiet. Mixture of challenging terrain with Mont Valaisan area opening up lots of technical off piste skiing. Would recommend the runs down into the col du petit saint-bernard in Italy for the best skiing.

Great resort for families or beginners/intermediates. It was my boyfriends 2nd time skiing, and long blue and red runs were perfect to learn on. Amazing views around the valley, and option to ski over into Italy. Great opportunities for off piste.

Had a fantastic week in a catered chalet with my partner. Lovely range of skiing with the option to ski over to La Thuile on the Italian side giving a real variety and different options. Plenty of nice bars/cafes on the slopes. A great family friendly resort with a lovely atmosphere and tons of snow. Would definitely return.

A wonderful family friendly area that is perfect for learning to ski and for venturing off for some more complex routes.I learnt to ski here as a child and have been back since - it caters for all ranges. The wonderful light show is truly a spectacle and the restaurants are brilliant. If you fancy more adventure then the valleys are easily accessible, and there is a snow park as well as a speed test area, plenty of fun for everyone!

Second week of January 2025, lots of snow and powder, fun runs and not too big to explore as a beginner/intermediate skiier, even went on the border cross. There was a lot of powder thanks to the weather and the sunset views were beautiful. We stayed in town a short 5 min walk to the main chair lift. Lunch and drinks at all the restaurants on the slopes, and ski school from 2:30 to 5 pm. Six days of skiing and I could have stayed for longer.

Very exposed, which makes the weather seem more extreme. Amazing when the suns out but when its bad weather little protection from wind or snow due to its position in the mountain and lack of trees. Ultimately good runs and a great trip. P.S if you go you must ski to the Italian border and try a bombadino!
