Loved Big Sky, the lifts are very luxurious. Everyone working at the resort is super friendly. Multiple sides of the mountain to explore, so many runs for all experience levels. There is also the riders room where you can demo all the new gear for snowboarding!

Massive mountain with extensive terrain. Spend more than one day to get the full experience. Many hidden runs if you look hard enough. High level steeps, blue groomers, and uncrowded greens. Night life is minimal but you wont have the energy any way after skiing a hard day. Beautiful vistas and opportunities to venture out on side trips. Modern lifts galore!

You could ski here for a season and never see it all. It's worth a trip. Not for the budget skier but great nonetheless.

Massive ski resort with 39 lifts, 321 named runs and 5,850 acres of skiable terrains, Big Sky is truly on a league of its own.You can ski here for a week and always ski different runs! Its a really fun mountain to ski and the locals are usually pretty chill. Most runs always feel pretty empty which is awesome. With so many runs, its also great for families as you always find something for everyone. Now for the not so good: - Apres and Restaurant scene is pretty limited.- Hard to move around. If you get stuck on one side of the mountain, it will be really hard to get back once the lifts close. So plan in advance so you dont get stuck (no Ubers here so youll have to wait a while or hitch a ride)

Great ski resort. The new tram is amazing and the snow this year has been epic. It is geared towards the rich, but its a great place to ski and you can stay slope side.

The most impressive thing about big sky is its vast terrain. Largest resort I've ever skied. The terrain seems to go on forever. Even though there wasn't a lot of snow when I went and lots of things coverage, the snow still accumulated enough in the trees for powder skiing. We went at the end of ski week and it was very expensive. A room at the marriott in town and not ski in ski out was >$600 and all ski in ski out accommodations were sold out. The bubble lifts are common and keep you warm. However lifts were not working well and lift lines were super long 2 days in a row at the bases>1 hr wait. Apre ski options are not great. This is not a party town. Had to drive an hour into Bozeman for good food.

Big Sky is a great ski resort that is often overshadowed by the Yellowstone Club that sits across the valley from it. While many skiers ultimate paradise would be to ski in that amazing private ski resort, big sky is an amazing alternative. Having skied both resorts, the main difference is lift times (and cost of course). I would say that Big Skys strengths are in the powder skiing and on mountain but off trail runs (not off-piste). The powder lays a nice layer over everything and compacts well most winters leaving a very smooth experience while still having decent compaction below. I would suggest this mountain to anyone looking towards skiing in the area and look for those off trail runs for the most fun. Big sky offers a fairly decent value, but often the costs can become quite high considering the decently remote nature of being up in Montana. The main issue I have with this mountain is that for the amount of snow that they claim that they get, the groomed runs can sometimes be quite rocky and not feel up to par for $200 lift ticket. The bowl is where the best skiing is but that is mainly advanced/expert terrain so beware, although that is where I had the most fun. The list lines are sometimes long but if you avoid the main lifts, you should have nothing to worry about. Try to stay away from the crowds, maybe avoid the main lodge, and you will have a good time.

Very good grooming lots of fun and stayed consistent throughout the day. The lifts that were the bubble chairs were some of the most advanced lifts Ive ever ridden but when you were not on those the lifts were relatively slow but with still good access to the terrain. It is very annoying that you have to pay extra for every single ride on the tram. But the resort itself was some of the best skin I have done in recent years but due to how remote the resort is the accommodations can be expensive and hard to come by and the restaurants can be limited and as well expensive. Overall great place but be ready to pay a pretty penny for it.

Big Sky is a super fun resort! The possibilities are endless with that much terrain. With multiple terrain parks and freestyle features I find something new all the time. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Food and lodging around big sky is very expensive, with The town Bozeman within an hour or hour and half drive, food and lodging is much more reasonable there. Apres on the weekends at the base is tons of fun. Would recommend to everyone to ski big sky.
PRO TIP: buy flex pass at the beginning of the season for over 50% day pass price. Available in 3-5 day packs

The resort offered amazing terrain! Feels like the stuff you have to hike to get to sometimes. The groomed runs are great. Nice and wide open. Only gripe is the price for food isn't worth the quality. I liked their sandwich station though.

Big Sky is a well rounded ski resort for families and solo skiers alike. There's a good amount of beginner terrain, but where Big Sky really shines is in it's expert terrain. If you're looking for challenging terrain, this is the place. I went from being an absolute beginner to riding double blacks in one season here. The snow quality is fantastic and well worth experiencing. It is a bit expensive, however, but with it in the end I believe.

Big Sky is a phenomenon resort in most ways, lots of runs on verying difficulty and terrain, ok parks, and good accommodations. They are much more aimed at out of state skiers and neglect locals. Their pricing is out of control.
