Sugar Mountain Resort - Community Reviews & Ratings

Me and my family have loved going to Sugar Mountain resort over the years. It has been a great place to teach my young kids how to ski. I highly recommend this place.

For being east coast, its my favorite local NC mountain. They groom twice a day so its always possible to hit a groomed run. Very family friendly and a decent variety of terrain difficulty. I really like the setup and its decent quality for being a small resort. The lifts are decent but lines get really long on the weekends. Recommend night snowboarding!! Or weekdays.

Very good for a cheap weekend of skiing great for what you pay for very good for beginner skiers and has a good amount of expert terrain offering the only double black dimond in north carolina

The accomodations are top of the line. The slopes are well maintained and the ski lift is great. I encountered no problems while at the resort. I would recommend to anyone who wanted a top notch experience for the price.

If you are trying to save money pick the time of day you want to ski, they charge separate rates like many other resorts, make sure to plan ahead for this part. Everyone is kind and happy to answer questions and help with assistance. Make sure to only take what u need as ur car will be a bit far. Great experience overall. One final tip would be to make sure to get a locker to store your things in, its usually safe but its better to be safe than sorry.

My first time here was awesome.Everyone is so nice and willing to help to you.The weather was wonderful the whole trip and the powder was just as nice.The food options were also amazing.I would recommend this resort to anyone.If you don't ski there are other things to keep you entertained.
