I enjoyed this ski resort least out of the 3 in the area we visited. We visited the day after the snow storm, so this affected our availability of runs and lifts on our visit. Limited food options which were quite expensive. Pass pick up only available from manned booths which meant queueing for ski pass. The runs themselves weren't too busy and the black diamonds were the most difficult I skiied on our trip, especially with some powder on them, which was enjoyable. Overall, I probably wouldn't return here if I were to come back to the area to ski.

sooo much ice, made the green runs harder than the blue runs, people were getting hurt on the bunny hill from the ice

Shawnee mountain ski area is a small typical easy coast ski resort. I grew up learning to ski at Shawnee and it will always have a special place to me. It is not very big, it's all groomed man made snow and at night it can be very icy. The lodge is old and hasn't been updated in my life time. If your looking for 2-3 hours of night skiing this can be nice place to get a couple of runs in but it won't take much longer then that to ski the whole mountain.
